A versatile roof and wall support member.
Zee Purlins are secondary steel framing members used for roof and wall. Zee Purlins are commonly chosen for the ability to endlap. Available in red oxide or galvanized, Zee Purlins are available cut to length. Standard zees (symmetrical flanges) and LGSI zees (unsymmetrical flanges) are both available.
Zee Purlin lengths are cut to length from 7′-45′ in 1/8″ increments, though 20′ and 25′ are the most commonly chosen lengths.

Metal framing components carry no specific warranty. Finish options include red iron (red oxide) and galvanized. Red iron is the more common finish and typically available in more sizes and gauges.
Zee Purlins are secondary steel framing members almost exclusively used as roof purlins and wall girts on metal buildings.
One major benefit of Zee Purlins is their ability to end lap. Both standard zees and LGSI zees can be end lapped, though LGSI are easier due to their unsymmetrical flanges. Fastening is most commonly using bolts and/or brackets, though welding is applicable in some construction methods.
